Homes Buyer Assistance Programs, Grants
All American Citizens and residents could apply to receive Grant
money and loans.
Grants are not benefits or entitlements. A grant is an award of
financial assistance from a federal, state, or private agency to a
recipient to carry out a purpose.
Most states and counties give out grants to purchase a home, usually for 1st time homebuyers. Grants vary, anywhere from $500 to $25,000 and most times it depends on how much the counties and states have. The nice part about grants is you do not have to pay back the money.

You cannot beat getting a grant, besides being tax free money and you don't have to pay it back, you could get into a home with $0 down. Every year that goes by, millions of dollars in grants do not get used up. The government is motivated to give this money away, it helps keep the economy strong, but not everybody takes advantage of these grants. As long as you are at least 18 years old, pay your taxes and are in good standing in the community, you will qualify for most grants. By the way, they have many kinds of grants programs, such as grants (up to $25,000) to fix up your home, grants to pay your utility bills and even if you fall behind on your house payments, there are some grants to help you get caught up.
